neoncube Does "the removal" refer to the removal from the current Memrise website and the app? The suggested "new URL" for the community courses seems to be semi-permanent-esque (i.e. "not to be removed in the foreseeable future" as they say)?
Memrise CEO just published blog post about changes to website and app

johnastsang My reading of this is that Memrise is preparing to remove community courses from the app and is separating the community courses to a dedicated URL on the web but still plans to eventually sunset the community courses. I'm guessing that they're moving the community courses to a dedicated URL so that instead of web users needing to switch between the new and old experiences, they can access both simultaneously (via separate URL's)
New URL for community courses: https://community-courses.memrise.com/signin
elfendertig This link doesn't show the old official ones by memrise. Guessing we'll lose those sooner
schlick Supposedly they now live on the "new experience", in which all the words are there, but presented in a different way ("scenarios" instead of "levels").

Has Memrise deleted my community courses? Where can I find them?
Rest assured that no community courses have been deleted.
We have now launched Community Courses on their own unique website: https://community-courses.memrise.com/signin. To access your community courses, follow this link and use your existing Memrise login credentials.
All progress you made on community courses will still be there and you'll still have the ability to join new community courses, as well as create them. The only thing you won't be able to do is access these on the Memrise app.
Steve Toy, Memrise's CEO says:
We will not remove community courses from the web in 2024. Mobile and web users alike can access community courses through a browser at https://community-courses.memrise.com

elfendertig You beat me to it! XD
Happy to see that the community courses should be up for at least a while longer

Currently I have not switched to the new experience, so I can open community courses on both app.memrise.com and community-courses.memrise.com. However, there is a slight difference between the two: the official courses are missing from the latter.
If the former is forced to switch to the new experience, access to the classic official courses will probably be lost completely.

Had already read and upvoted your comment, but had not recognised you.

elfendertig Yes, I carelessly took one of the randomly suggested usernames when I registered on Reddit a long time ago and can no longer change it into a sensible name.

Why are my earlier posts in this thread showing as authored by [deleted]?
edit: This seems to occur intermittantly.
elfendertig Weird, I haven't seen that yet XD
I think I have seen it before actually. For now everything seems alright again. The posts slowly turned back to normal. I received several notifications for those posts (for likes) when they came back under my name.
