I've begun uploading audio for all of the courses that have already been uploaded! 🙂

At the moment, audio is available in a simple form where it can be played when looking at a course's overview page, before starting a test, or after getting a test question wrong.

neoncube When in "Learn" mode on these two courses of mine, the audio plays twice for each 'word'. That wasn't the case on Memrise. Is that the way you have set it up on MLWL or is it a bug?

The script has finished running! 🙂 There were about 1,000 courses that it failed to attach audio to, though, so I'll need to do a bit of bug fixing and run it again 🙂

DW7 Are you able to click the black "play" icon, but it doesn't play sound?

DW7 Ah, it looks like that course is one of the ones that the audio upload didn't work for. I need to look into this.

Good morning (from here). I have spotted a reason for saying "no audio".

I see on the course you suggested you have black play arrows in the last column called "Audio".

I guess you want us to listen to them at the selecting stage.

What I was expecting, was them to play on answering correctly (or wrongly) like MemRise did.

Also there is no listen to audio and select answer (English typing or the selecting the answer from a choice of 6 phrases). [Feature Request].

I would like to be able to add new audios to my course. I guess you are currently working on it @neoncube ?

Hi ADOMEUPORG, and sorry for the late reply.

The ability for people to add audio to their own courses is definitely on my list but to be honest, it's kind of on the back burner at the moment.

Can you give me some idea of how badly you need this feature? That should help me prioritize 🙂

I find it hard to learn any language without audio. So haven't started learning anything here as yet.

neoncube It's just that it is impossible to learn a tonal language without audios, because you will never get the correct pronunciation or understand what native speakers say to you. And since Memrise users courses can be shutdown overnight, I would like to continue my course here as soon as possible.

neoncube I think audio needs to be a top priority! Along with the types of multiple choice questions we liked from Memrise.

Eventually, will the audio automatically play?

Are people more interested in having audio play after a word during a test or in an audio testing mode, where audio is played and one types/selects the correct answer?

I have courses that use both. One type of audio being tested upon, one being played after the test.
