neoncube While I think it would be beneficial to practice connecting directly voice to meaning, I also think it would be beneficial to have spelling and voice presented at the same time.
To give an example along with your screenshot:
- If I choose the leftmost method, I expect the question ("la zona") to be presented with the voice.
- If I choose the middle method, I expect to hear the voice after I answer correctly.
To achieve what I wrote, it may require the information about which column the audio is reading out.
If that information is available, it would be possible to learn to dictate from voice or to select voice from spelling. (Memrise has such a mode). This is not very useful in languages where the relationship between spelling and pronunciation is simple, such as Spanish, but it is useful in languages where the relationship between spelling and pronunciation is complex, such as Welsh, and in languages where the letters themselves are the object of study, such as Arabic and Hindi.
