I think those three Welsh courses were marked as "unlisted", so they weren't migrated. Let me see if I can download those three courses and your private course 🙂 It may be a few days, as I need to modify my scripts to support downloading individual courses.

I couldn't find my Plattdeutsch(Low German) course yet. Would you consider loading it, too? Or any other Low German course I maybe haven't found yet.

And as another idea, would it be possible in the future to make a search for courses without having to decide for a certain native language? Some Learners might not care much, whether they learn say Chinese through English, Spanish, French or any other language they know already.

Having said that, I must tell you how much I am grateful for you trying to save all the hard work of so many people. Thank you so very much!

michi Yes, I'd be happy to! 🙂 The German courses were divided into several subcategories, so I've been saving them for last. I'm almost ready to work on them, though, I think 🙂

Indeed, I think it'd be interesting to one day add support for having multiple native languages, or even indicating proficiency in different language 🙂

I've reworked the migration script and uploaded a bunch more courses in the existing categories 🙂 These courses were all for English speakers.

neoncube Great. What did you call them?

Perhaps you could rename the last "Other" to "Other languages" - perhaps even putting 'Languages' in single quotes as some may not be seen as languages (eg Braille, Morse, Semaphore, Hieroglyphs etc).

And in time Contributors can check if our courses are listed under the most appropriate heading.

DW7 It turns out that Other 2, Other 3, and Other 4 were "Natural world - Other", "History/geography - Other", and "Professional/careers - Other" 🙂

It looks like I still need to renamed "Other 2". Let me rename "Other" to "Other languages", too, thanks! 🙂

It looks like Memrise had a category for trivia: https://app.memrise.com/community/courses/english/trivia/, and that category has several subcategories that overlap with other categories (art, history, geography). After all the dust settles, I agree it'd be a good idea to see if it makes sense to merge some of these categories.

I see you have "History/ Geography" as well as "Geography".

Would you be up to making some rationalisation sometime? (eg all "History/ Geography" go to "Geography".)?

(Also MemRise had "Astronomy" and "Stars" categories and IMO they should all go to "Astronomy". But you may have done that as I don't see a "Stars" category.

If you were able to attach a list of course categories (perhaps in a now thread) sometime, it would also make it clearer for us to spot them (and make suggestions).

This is one of the issues I was concerned about.

Many courses there were actually valuable lessons to learn and should easily fit into the other named categories.

@[deleted] BTW, I'm still adding and rearranging categories, so it might make sense to wait until they've all been added before doing much analysis on them 🙂

It should also show up on your dashboard, and you should be marked as the course's author, so you can edit it.

The version of the course that I copied may be a few months old, so if your course on My Little Word Land looks significantly different from the one on Memrise, just let me know, and I can download and copy a new version of it. Now that I have everything up and running, I should be able to do that within a day, rather than within three months! XD
