Just went through creating an account for both MLWL and the forum.
I was a bit flabbergasted about two things:
- there is a separate user name and an email address, but for logging in, you'll need the user name (instead of the email address)
- there is separate accounts for the forum and the MLWL website
- both sites have different requirements for the user name, i. e. I can use Olaf.Rabbachin on MLWL, but cannot use a dot in the user name on the forum (hence I'm Olaf_Rabbachin here).
My recommendation (as this seems to still be pretty much in the making) would be to generalize the behaviour to avoid tons of support requests. That is, I'd use a single login for both sites (if at all possible) and make sure the requirements are identical on both sites.
