Sorry for the late reply.

I've just made you be author to the courses that you were an author of on Memrise and a contributor to the courses that you were a contributor of on Memrise 🙂 I've also added you as a contributor to all of stbartsmfl's courses, although it looks like 18 or 19 of the stbartsmfl account's courses haven't yet been uploaded to Memrise.

Let me know if any other members of your department sign up for My Little Word Land and would like to be authors or contributors 🙂

I'd like to eventually have some special functionality for teachers to be able to create groups and monitor their students' progress, but I don't have a timeline for this. Hi, thanks for all the hard work in creating this site and migrating all the memrise user created courses.

I have used the "import course progress" script and it works perfectly on courses that i have not started yet on MLWL but not on those that i had done a few sample lessons. Is there a way around this?

larboylan I've just released a feature that allows one to reset one's progress on a course: https://forum.mylittlewordland.com/d/159-new-feature-reset-course-progress

You should be able to use this to erase your progress on a course and then import progress from Memrise 🙂

I'm also working on a feature that lets progress from Memrise be merged into existing progress on My Little Word Land, but this is probably a ways from being released 🙂

Another 123 courses have been cloned! 🙂

Each of these courses had columns with the same name but different types (e.g. a text column named "Word" and an image column named "Word"). Most of these courses didn't clone very cleanly and may need some cleanup. The course IDs are 232836 through 232958.

Each of these courses had more than one attribute column with the same name. I've solved this by merging the attribute columns that have the same name.

These courses have IDs from 233071 to 233126 and might benefit from more cleanup in the future.

EDIT: Nvm, I've removed these courses again. I think I've figured out a better way to migrate them.

FinUniAcademic If a student has learned a bunch of words on Memrise, it's possible to import that progress into My Little Word Land, so that the words don't need to be learned again (see https://mylittlewordland.com/import-memrise-progress for instructions). This process involves downloading a Chrome or Firefox extension, though, which students might not be comfortable with.

It's also currently only possible to import progress into My Little Word Land courses where a student hasn't yet started learning any words.

On second thought, perhaps this isn't a feature that would be widely applicable to a class of students 🙂
