Course migration progress
- Edited
I've finished uploading most courses for German speakers.
(Tagging @[deleted] )
johnastsang Thanks for the complement, I don't know how much time I spent putting it together. I hadn't made it public before because I wasn't satisfied yet with its completion. There is still a lot of words I wanted to copy and eventually cross-reference with another source to make sure the words are spelled correctly.
Probably for the best that I have made it public now for anyone interested in it. I had made it as a more convenient learning source for myself but now others can use it too.
I've finished migrating most courses for non-English speakers! (e.g. English for Spanish speakers, French for Spanish speakers, English for Italian speakers, etc.)
neoncube Could you please advise how to copy my memrise courses to you?

Hi Zakhtser have you had a look as it might be there already.
If not, give a link to your courses on MemRise and @[deleted] will do the rest for you.
But the courses needs to be a "public".
Also
My understanding is that from April the Community Courses will still be available on the web - just not on the App. But no one is sure how long this will go on.
Hi @FinUniAcademic, I see your courses at https://app.memrise.com/user/zakhtser/
Let me take a look at why they haven't been copied yet
(@DW7 and @FinUniAcademic, I removed the duplicate posts that were are https://forum.mylittlewordland.com/d/118-memrise-ceo-just-published-blog-post-about-changes-to-website-and-app/59, just to keep everything in one place )
@FinUniAcademic Can you register an account on mylitlewordland.com and let me know your username? Currently, mylittlewordland.com and forum.mylittlewordland.com require separate registration XD
Thanks
neoncube sure. I did. FinUniAcademic. I can see that some of my courses EM_* are already here (thanks!), but some are missing. And I also want to understand if I can monitor my students' progress here somehow.

Firstly I can't find the 6 courses you've added - should they have appeared on my dashboard automatically?
Secondly I have looked at some courses and I have two comments:
i) Several audio files are missing (eg in My Little Word Land )
ii) Several of the TESTING options that I originally had are missing, although the data is there.
Hi @neoncube I struggled to find the community courses I was learning with memrise (https://app.memrise.com/user/tux19/)
I was looking into the Country Flags/Mapping/Cities etc. courses from azrael42 + Flags of the World from CFT.
Is there an easier way to search the courses than clicking through the categories? I just want to make sure the content is there
DW7 I think it's possible that they were already on your dashboard, so the only change is that now you're the author
Thanks for the link to that course. It looks like some of the entries in that course need to be merged, and then the audio should be present. I still need to figure out exactly what's causing this behaviour and how to fix it.
I'm not sure I understand point #2. Can you give an example of an option that's missing?
@DW7 and @tux19, The good news is that I'm working on a system where people can import their progress from Memrise to My Little Word Land. This should have the side effect that when a course's progress is imported, the course should also automatically appear on your dashboard, so you don't need to search for it
I estimate I have about a week left to implement this feature.
@FinUniAcademic Sorry, I haven't gotten to your courses yet.
What kind of information would you like to be able to see about your students' progress? My Little Word Land doesn't yet have anything like this, but I'd be happy to put it on the wishlist!
neoncube Hi! The Cantonese category doesn't seem to be complete. Compare https://mylittlewordland.com/courses/47/4?page=1 and https://community-courses.memrise.com/community/courses/english/cantonese/.
And the Persian category seems to be missing? https://community-courses.memrise.com/community/courses/english/persian/
Hi @neoncube I appreciate your work, and hopefully you can turn it into another 'Memrise' site. I just made my three Chinese courses public. Could you migrate them here? It is a pity that my recorded audio cannot be transferred though. Thank you!
