I just tried those two courses, but they were both multiple choice for me. Is there a way to make them use typing tests?

Anyway, I think this is what I'll do, God willing:

Change the separator character to be a semicolon instead of a comma. This should bring us in line with Memrise, so that we're not breaking courses that were imported from Memrise.
Add a function that course authors can activate that will swap all commas and semicolons in a course. This should let us easily fix courses that were broken back when Memrise changed from commas to semicolons 🙂

This is the same issue I have reported in "Wrong answer" when courses have alternatives. - My Little Word Land

How about a / or even \ (the latter may never be used).

Otherwise just look around the keyboard for unused characters ;-)

Presumably in time we would go over the ex-MemRise courses we support and amend all the entries to the agreed separator. And this would fix the alternatives being accepted as a right answer.

Finally we could add to the Course description that it has been updated to work on MLWL.

BTW - thank you for coming to the rescue of 'our' MemRise courses and the amazing job you are doing on getting them mirroring the MemRise feel.

I'm running a script that updates all of the courses that have been cloned from Memrise, so that they use semicolons for separators. I expect this will take at least a few hours to finish 🙂

@DW7 I might have mentioned this somewhere else, but I think it'd be great to eventually add a button where a course's author/maintainer could automatically swap all commas and semicolons in a course, to fix all of the courses that were broken back when Memrise changed from using commas to using semicolons 🙂

I think (as I mentioned before) a lot of 'my' courses used a comma then the two words (or phrases) were acceptable alternatives.

So commas to semi colons may work but I'd have to inspect them.

If you please could also swap the commas to semicolons in the definition column then I could start learning in reverse mode and test it. Thank you very much.
