Links to Baas' courses

Baas (https://community-courses.memrise.com/user/Baas/courses/teaching/) has created a lot of beginner's courses in the early years of Memrise. I've enrolled in a number of them, because of which I've noticed that he has, for some reason, unlisted the majority of them. Thanks to Wayback Machine, we can recover the list of his courses before the unlisting: https://web.archive.org/web/20170126201258/http://www.memrise.com/user/Baas/courses/teaching/

There were 446 courses listed! Now, there're just 40 left.

Because they've been unlisted, I'm quite sure that MLWL do not have them. @neoncube could you please import them? They're quite good in quality.

On second thought, given that Baas intended to unlist the courses, maybe it's not a good idea to list them here without his permission. Nonetheless, I'll leave this thread here to let more people know about his creations. With the course codes, it's still possible to enroll in them on Memrise.

Note: The above course is currently closed to the public. Since I was not an expert in this language, the idea of having me as a contributor never occurred to me.

Ah, yes, I remember Baas 🙂 I can still picture his avatar, in my mind.

In the cases where the the courses are "unlisted" instead of "private", I think it'd be fine to copy them 🙂

johnastsang I think that if one goes to the course's URL and the course shows up, it's unlisted. If a message is shown saying that the course doesn't exist, it's private 🙂

With the recent update to let people import their Memrise progress, I think I'll need to rewrite part of the course cloning scripts before cloning more courses, though, so it may be a few weeks.

I forgot to clone these courses during the latest round of cloning, sorry. They're now on the list.

I think most of Baas' courses should now be available on My Little Word Land! 🙂

There are still a few of his courses that need to wait for further improvements to the cloning script, but the vast majority (90%+ ?) should be available! 🙂
