  • Can you please change my commas to semicolons?

@neoncube - Hi, I know you must be swamped with work, but when you can, would you please change my commas to semicolons on my Karen's Basics - American Spanish course? I can't really use it the way it is now. It may be that all my courses need commas changed, but for now this is the one that surely needs it the most.

    Hi Karenanne,

    I've added a new feature that should let course authors/contributors change commas to semicolons in whichever courses need it 🙂

    To access the feature, go to the course's Edit -> Vocabulary page and click the button at the top right of the course:

    Then click the "Replace commas with semicolons" button:

    You can then double check any changes that were made. You'll need to save the course for the changes to take effect.

    Note that this feature also changes any semicolons in a course into commas, so it's basically swapping all of the semicolons and commas in a course. I think this is what's desired in most cases, so that sentences that already have semicolons don't get broken, but if you run into a case where you need semicolons changed to commas and existing semicolons left as they are, just let me know 🙂

        I actually need the commas swept to semicolons and the existing semicolons left as they are in all my courses!

            Ang Okay, let me see if I can add that 🙂 @DW7 would also like to be able to change all of his slashes (/) to commas, so I'm thinking that adding a "replace x with y" feature might be best 🙂

                I hope that is a typo, because I would like all the current separator "/" changed to a SEMI-colon ";" which is the way your 'alternatives' work.

                    The feature that I'm envisioning would let you replace any character with any other character.
