neoncube That's really awesome. Thank you so much. There are so many community course and to migrate them all together is really tough. So please take your time, you are doing a fantastic job in this community course migration.

SDB33 You're welcome! ^_^ Sorry, I think your Braille course might still not yet be migrated.

@mennakshi99 Thanks! ^_^ Indeed, it's been a lot of work, but also a lot of fun! :D

Hello! I am wondering if you can help me gain access to my courses that have been moved over from Memrise. Is this the link that you need?

https://community-courses.memrise.com/user/MagistraSonger/

I don't think I can gain access any longer to my profile on the old Memrise site.

Also, have your shared your plans for this site? Before I move all of my department over, we are wondering what the future will look like for users here. Do you have plans to monetize or do you have a time line?

Thank you!

    Hi Magistra Songer !

I've made you be the author of the two courses that you made on Memrise and added you as a contributor to the course that you were a contributor of on Memrise 🙂 The courses should automatically show up on your dashboard, if they weren't there already.

I'm hoping to keep all of the current existing functionality in My Little Word Land free and to only charge for additional functionality, so if the current functionality is good enough for you, then you should be fine! 🙂

@lyndongraffiti, @pam3773 , @Sofiia.Yurkiv38, @sunlaoshi, @SDB33, @pfote, @sunlaoshi, @KonichiwaGato, @Radiant., and @larboylan, I've cloned some or all of your courses to My Little Word Land and set you as author or contributor 🙂 The courses should automatically appear in your dashboard.

If you'd like to import your Memrise progress into My Little Word Land, so that you don't have to relearn or re-ignore words, please follow the instructions at https://mylittlewordland.com/import-memrise-progress 🙂

@Barskiy, It looks like I need to further improve the course migration script before your courses can be cloned, sorry!

If anyone should be a contributor to a course but isn't, please let me know, so I can add you! 🙂

neoncube It looks like I might need to do some work on this course, though 🙂

Let me know if you need any help.

I confess I'm exploring the new MemRise App (with Italian) and also the Classic MemRise for Community Courses in a Browser for now.

@neoncube - Finnish Forum was defunct as a course on Memrise. I think it was always intended to be a user forum rather than a vocab course anyway. The origins are lost in time. I think it's best deleted.

alanh Ah, that makes sense 🙂 I was wondering why it was named "forum" and only had five words, haha.

I've changed the course from "public" to "private" 🙂

        Hello,

I was the maker of various medieval courses of varying quality. I know at least one of the Old Irish courses has been imported here (https://mylittlewordland.com/course/313286/old-irish-glossary-quin-lessons-1-20) and I can see all the old mistakes I never got around to fixing! Although I'm not really using this course anymore myself, I would be up for fixing them for future learners if made a contributor. The second part of this course has also been cloned (https://mylittlewordland.com/course/286991/old-irish-glossary-quin-lessons-20-40), and same applies, although it might make more sense for me to combine the two at this stage.

My Memrise username was FinnLongman. I also took the photos used as the cover picture for both courses. I don't mind them being re-used, it's just funny seeing pictures I took in 2013 popping up in a new location like this. I stumbled on this site by chance while following a Reddit thread to try to figure out whether my old courses would have been fully deleted.

fianaigecht Hello, and welcome to the site! 🙂

It looks like all of the six courses that you authored on Memrise have been imported to My Little Word Land. I've added you as the author of these courses, so you should now have full control over them 🙂

Your Memrise profile reminds me a lot of when I was a teen, making my first forays onto the internet! Good times! :D

BTW, if you decide you'd like to merge https://mylittlewordland.com/course/286991/old-irish-glossary-quin-lessons-20-40 and https://mylittlewordland.com/course/313286/old-irish-glossary-quin-lessons-1-20 , please let me know, and I think I could do some backend work to merge these courses in a way that would let people keep their progress.

neoncube Fabulous, thank you. I'll leave the courses separate for now, but I plan to work on tidying up the first one (mostly, moving the 'part of speech' and 'gender' information to the correct columns because I didn't know how to do that on Memrise when I made the course -- you can see that I'd learned this by the time I did the second Old Irish course! Half that info is actually missing as I clearly got bored of putting it in, so I'll add it some time when I'm procrastinating. I made the original courses as an undergrad to help me get through my exams and I know that several generations of students after me relied on them, so it's useful to have somewhere I can point them to so that that can continue.
