You can now edit words in any course, even if you aren't the course's author or a contributor! Any edits that you make to a course where you aren't the author/contributo are only visible to you -- they won't show up for anyone else.
For example, let's say that a course has a word defined as "you/your", and you want to change it to be "you; your" but you aren't a contributor to the course. With this new feature, you can go ahead and make the change without having to wait to be added as a contributor! 🙂
While designing this feature, I realized that this might also be a great way to automate adding people as contributors to courses: If a course doesn't have any active authors/contributors, then My Little Word Land could automatically look for people who have edited words and ask them if they want to be added as a contributor! :D
This feature is still in beta, so the "Edit" links for a course should only show up on the beta site, but any edits that you make there should still show up on the main site.
Deploying this feature took several hours, and I'm afraid that the site may have been slow or unusable while the deployment was ongoing. Sorry to anyone who encountered issues!
