Hi 🙂 I would like to put up some propositions and ideas I (personally) would be glad to have here. These are mostly ones I liked from the memrise, as well as some points I would maybe "improve" after learning and editing my courses a little. 🙂
A progress bar or % showing on each course. (I personally like to know how much I have done, so having like 10/100 learned 10% done bar would be a nice indicator)
Chapters in the course: I would like to make some chapters (like chapters from the book or like categories fruits, vegetables, etc.) in one course, and have an option to only study from one category (or all as it is)
Check boxes to choose words while editing: It would be a nice edition to have a check box to just choose words I would like to delete (and if implemented, choose which words go to which category as in proposition 2.)
Moving the text before the vocabulary while learning: I mostly use it on my phone and the text "Please select an answer…" between the word and the options to choose from is a little bit distracting, and sometimes takes too much of my screen space. I would move it somewhere down or have an option to remove it completely once you know how the learning works.
Color-coded vocabulary: maybe instead of writing "learned" or sth, I would maybe color-code them (or put I don't know, color circles or other indicators). I would invision it as maybe green for already remembered, yellow learning, red not learned yet or sth. (if implemented, it might also be shown together with my 1st proposition, as like on a color bar)
Learn options: In the learning options I would like to have a mix option Eng->Jap + Jap->Eng + other options together, so while learning it is a mix of all (I like chaos sometimes xD)
Also, Test type: mixed typing + multiple choice together.
Alsoo, if the 5th proposition is implemented, maybe add an option of "learn new(red ones)", "continue learning(yellow)", "review already learned(green)" and mixed (all colors together)
Alsooo, I would like to have a check box to "remember my choice", so once I finish my learning in one session I don't have to choose my options again, it would be helpful.
Also in the learning part: May we have a switched order in which options are? Now, once you choose Learning methods, they go as last. How about having it in order: 1 Learning methods, 2 Test type etc., 3 List of words?
(just for me xD. Is there an option to have a number of people using the course shown somewhere other than in the search part? I just like to know if somebody is using it… Also, for teachers who use it for their students, having a number shown (or better the usernames) might be a way to check if students are truly using the courses)
Sorry for a long text. I am not a programmer, and I truly understand some of my propositions might be very or impossible to implement. (I am sorry if the these subjects were already discussed… These is so many on the forum, and I didn't check all of them)
Of course, these are just propositions, but would be glad if ever shown on the website. (If there are some that need more of explaining, I will gladly even draw pictures of them xD)
