DW7 Yes, that's what I mean - forced, as I too have not updated it manually (when I updated other apps). I didn't know it could overwrite my wishes. But I thought that day might come when it would not work unless it was updated.
Olaf.Rabbachin DW7 Not sure about everybody else, but I gave it a go yesterday on my phone. I stopped after just about 10 minutes - the web is just so very much worse compared to the Android app. I haven't uninstalled the app just yet, but my streaks (some way over 2000 days!) are gone by now anyway.
Karen1313 Same here, I was forced to update the app a couple weeks ago and nothing drastic happened…then Monday morning Memrise rolled out this abomination.
DW7 I found it strange navigating around around the Official language course on the App (as they say a different feel). The Community Courses on a browser on the smart-phone work but it wasn't as easy to read all the options.
Zomer Does anyone have an idea how to reach the community courses at the Memrise website, the ones you were learning I mean? Yesterday I saw them but now I just cannot find them anymore. And Community courses now just show about 35 community courses for English speakers. I was learning Mastering Arabic 2.

Zomer schlick thank you for your answer! by accident I managed. Tried one of the still existing community courses, did 'back' several times And I was back in my profile. Now I leave it open in my browser. How long will it take for Memrise management to return to the old version? So stupid to chase away customers!

DW7 Is anyone else experiencing a 'Welcome' screen (as above) then a long "Sync in Progress" every time you start the MemRise App to attempt the new language system? (Although perhaps only once a day?) DW7 One good thing is that on the Community Web area on a browser, I can still access the original 1 to 7 courses (although not as good as on the App was).

As we as we are focused moving all Memrise learners over to our Learn, Immerse, Communicate experience, it is no longer possible to revert to the old experience in the Android and iOS apps. If you wish to go back to the old Memrise experience, you will need to follow the steps below on the website. ⚠️ Please note you will not be able to enrol in any official content in the Classic experience as this now lives in the new experience. You should only return to the Classic experience to learn community-created courses. How to opt out on web 1. Go directly to one of your community course links or go to https://www.memrise.com/en/community-courses and click on any community course. 2. Start a learning session (you can click out part-way through). 3. This will return you to https://app.memrise.com/dashboard.
schlick 7shi Yep that is how to do it. You can still use any official course that you had already joined it looks like.
Karen1313 Another work-around that I saw on Reddit/Memrise involves downloading an older version of the app. (Something I've done several times in the past. ) The Jan. 5 version someone shared today works…on my android…for now. Maybe long enough to learn the courses I was in the middle of.
DW7 Yesterday and today I noticed the MemRise App gave me access to not only the official 1 to 7 courses but also the Community Courses I am revising. It does look like the new format in a way but a the bottom is a link to the "New! Memrise Courses". Has anyone else noticed this? Have they gone back for a while?
